Muslim-Network was established in January 2009 and follows in the foot-steps of other leading Muslim Networking organisations such as Emerald Network, City Circle and North West Muslim Professional Network.

The Muslim-Network team are volunteers in this project to develop a platform where Professional Muslims can network with other professionals with whom they may have limited or no contact at all. The networking events and dinners will allow an opportunity to raise awareness of the impact that Professional Muslims are having with the local and national community and to become the key player in building relationships with each other.

Purpose

Networking is a key component in a persons everyday business and personal life as there is always a need to liaise with others in order to obtain information, guidance and understanding. The Muslim Network is here to cater the needs of the Muslim Professionals based in Sheffield, Yorkshire and across the wider community and to be the first port of contact in establishing and improving links between fellow Professional Muslims.

Irfan Kaiser Rashid Founded Muslim-Network in Jan 2009. In the interest of promoting and developing relationships between the Professional Muslim Community. Muslim-Network will Insha'Allah provide a platform where Professional Muslims can network with each other and also have the opportunity to develop their business and personal contact base.

The support from close friends namely:

Shakeeb Saqlain;

Zaheer Mohammed;

Sarfraz Khan;

Ashfaq Khan and

Ikhlaq Hussain

has been much appreciated and particularly in times of hardship and struggle to promote, advocate and in some cases persuade Muslims to join us at Networking events.

We are always willing to work with other organisations and entities in order to promote the objectives of the Muslim-Network initiative to a national level. Recent example has been the 4th event held in association with Emerald Network. We are always seeking to work with the community in Sheffield and encouraging the interaction of creating and providing positive role models for aspiring young Muslims.

In the past Muslim-Network has supported the following charities from the funds raised at the networking events so far:

1. The Sheffield's Children Hospital -

The Children's Hospital Charity exists to support and enhance the services of the Sheffield Children's NHS Trust and it's reputation as a centre of excellence for the research, prevention, care and cure of childhood illnesses.

2. Central Asia Institute -

Central Asia Institute is a non-profit organisation with the mission to promote and support community-based education, especially for girls in remote regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
